Beyond talk therapy

Trauma isn’t just held in the mind—it’s stored in the body. That’s why we integrate methods like somatic experiencing, grounding exercises, breath work, body-based mindfulness, and nervous system regulation techniques to help clients reconnect with their physical and emotional experiences.

Our Specialities

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based approach to healing trauma. It helps the brain process painful memories and experiences in a way that feels less overwhelming, so they no longer feel stuck in the present.

EMDR helps the brain reprocess these memories so they lose their emotional intensity. You’ll still remember what happened, but it no longer feels as intense or controlling. Many people notice they feel calmer, less triggered, and more present in their daily life.

Over time, EMDR can help you:

  • Reduce the emotional charge of painful memories

  • Lessen trauma-related symptoms like anxiety, panic, or hypervigilance

  • Build new, more empowering beliefs about yourself

  • Restore a sense of safety, control, and balance in your body and mind

At Whole Brain Healing Therapy, we take a gentle, collaborative approach to EMDR. We’ll work together to determine your readiness, go at a pace that feels right for you, and check in regularly to make sure you feel supported throughout the process. You’re always in control, and we’re here to guide you with care and safety every step of the way.

ADHD

David specializes in working with individuals with ADHD, drawing from the latest brain science to guide his approach. He understands that ADHD is not just about focus—it’s about how the brain processes, responds, and regulates across daily life. His work integrates an understanding of both the brain and body, recognizing that traditional talk therapy often falls short for ADHD minds.

Living with ADHD can bring both strengths and challenges. Difficulties with focus, organization, time management, or emotional regulation can feel overwhelming, especially when they affect work, school, or relationships. David’s work is grounded in the belief that ADHD also brings unique strengths—such as creativity, energy, and big-picture thinking—that can flourish once the right support and strategies are in place..

EMDR Intensives

EMDR Intensives offer a powerful alternative to traditional weekly therapy. These 4–6 hour sessions are designed for those ready to dive deep into healing without the extended timeline of weekly appointments.

Whether you're looking to process a specific trauma, accelerate your growth, or simply want to use your time more efficiently, EMDR intensives provide a focused and supportive environment for transformation.

Who Are Intensives For?

  • You’ve done therapy before, but feel stuck, and are seeking a breakthrough or deeper movement in your healing journey.

  • You’ve been impacted by childhood or relational trauma, and you’re ready to focus on specific memories or patterns that are holding you back.

  • You want to address a single, distressing event (e.g., a car accident, assault, medical trauma) in a focused, time-limited way.

  • You live outside the area but want to work with a specialist, and can travel for a single-day or weekend format.

  • You’re a parent or caregiver who doesn’t have the capacity to commit to ongoing weekly therapy, but still wants to prioritize emotional health and healing.

  • You’re navigating perinatal or postpartum challenges — birth trauma, loss, anxiety, or identity shifts — and want concentrated time to process and reset.

  • You’re simply ready to make lasting progress, and want a space that allows you to go deep — without interruption.

*All EMDR intensives begin with a consultation and clinical assessment to ensure this format is appropriate and supportive for your needs. EMDR Intensives are not covered by insurance and are offered as a private pay service. This allows for greater flexibility, personalization, and depth of care without the limitations of traditional insurance models.
